His soulful and soothing voice is appreciated by one and all. His decency and down-to-earth manner make everyone his all-time admirer. His chartbuster Allah Ke Bande thronged number one position for almost six months across different channels. World renowned music maestro, A R Rahman once tagged him as 'fragrance of rural Indian soil' and his one of the most popular songs, Teri Deewani is still heart-warming. He is none other than Kailash Kher, who is now ready to waft his melodic voice globally. Here Kailash reveals more about his new album and future plans.
In a short span of time, you have generated a singing style of your own. How do you feel on this achievement?
I feel extremely obliged when the genre and kind of songs I sing or compose is liked by one and all. With God's grace, people not only like it, but the new sensations in music field are also following it. So, there I see an achievement.
What is the theme of your new album, 'Kailasa Chaandan Mein'?
The theme of this album is love and romance. The album consists of eight lilting songs. Paresh, Naresh and I have composed the music of this album. Paresh and Naresh are also a part of my band. Brass band 'Kawa' has also played a very vital role in the composition of these songs.
In your every album, pain and departure are extremely highlighted. Do you think that separation is necessary for deep love?
No, I don't think that separation is necessary for deep love. We highlight every emotions and feelings involved in love in extreme; be it pain, desire, romance, love, separation, wait etc.
Your love songs are more inclined towards rural areas than urban areas. What is the reason behind it?
There are different kind of vibes of peace and emotions in rural and remote areas. In urban area, the definition of love and emotions are very different. However, we don't specifically focus on rural areas. Eventually, our songs are loved by both rural and urban crowd.
Do you think that through today's singing contests, we can explore the true talents?
Certainly, we can. These shows form a platform to explore their talent. Everyone is not born with silver spoons or easily crack opportunities in this competitive era. Therefore, these reality shows help them to explore and form their own identity. I myself have judged one reality show and trust me; the authenticity of encouraging the new talent is certainly there.
Any planning for world tour with your band?
It is going to be released on international front. First time, an album of an Indian artist will be at the same level of international stars. We are going to go for a tour to US and Canada.
What new can we listen from your side in the coming days?
Of course, my new album 'Kailasa Chaandan Mein' and many films are lined up.
