With every release, Imran's performance on screen is getting better and better. Despite the entry of new faces in Bollywood, Imran is still a sure bet for the producers to entice the audience …

As an actor...
I do feel that there has been an improvement in my acting skills, since I started acting in movies. I do not honestly think that I have become a very good actor. I think I have moments where I do something decently, but it is not yet something I have control over. You cannot just rely on chance.

I feel nervous...
Yes, I am nervous before the release of my film. Surprisingly, it did not happen during the release of my first film. Aamir tells me that he is still terrified before every release and that it never goes away. Well, it is nice to know that I too have that feeling to look forward to.

Being with Aamir...
He is an institution in himself. Whatever he wants to do, he wants to do it correctly. This is what I have learnt from him. Whatever you do and whatever be the cost, it must be correct. His ability to figure out the pulse of the audience is excellent. Though my intention is always to do good films and do my best but my knowledge is far less than him. I don't have that much knowledge and experience. Hopefully, I will reach there one day.

Competition with peers...
To be honest, I do not feel that I am competing with anyone else, and don't really feel that anyone else can have an impact on my work. I enjoy my work very much.

Not a lover on screen always...
I would definitely want to experiment with different genres of cinema. I will succeed in some and may not in others, but that does not stop me from experimenting. People have appreciated my role in love stories; so that is something I will continue to do, but will also try to do different roles.

Love is changing...
Well, I think the obstacles in the path of love have changed. They have become more internal rather than external. Now the problem is the way we think, instead of matters like religion, caste or family. I do not think that the urban audience will accept a love story where caste is a problem between two lovers, even though I have seen such incidents myself.

My wife and my work...
She is very good with separating 'on screen life' from 'off screen life'. In every film, you are romancing heroines and you have intimate scenes. Thank God, she has never given me any shock for that.
