Talented and suave young fashion designer Nitish Chandra is rapidly making a mark in the fashion industry of India with his Indo-western clothing lines. With several awards and accolades under his belt, Nitish is now planning to launch his own fashion store.

Fashion is a passion:
When I was in 8th standard, I had a great passion about designing. My signature designer label for female is 'CRAZY MADAME' and for male, it is 'CLASSIC DUDE'. As the name mention, I design on the same specific line; crazy but classic clothing with traditional Indian touch and international look and comfort. I am into Indo-western bridal, exclusive and high end party wear, corporate class formals and lingerie. My targeted customers are high end corporates, celebs and party animals to youth and medium class. I am planning to open my own signature store by next year to retail my clothing line in Indian and overseas markets.

Fashion is changing:
Well, there is a huge change now. Client's value has brought a huge difference in the industry now. However, copycats are like the leaf on a tree in this industry. I must not speak more on this issue but now every individual is attracted towards the glamour of this industry and they are not connected towards the basic idea of design. International fashion is more on the latest trends, experiments and open culture. They love to flaunt in any classic collection of their choice, even in a high profile party or on the roadside. However, in India, I think it will still take some more time to accept the real fashion skill and overall demand for both masses and classes.

My forte:
I basically work on indo-western clothing line. So, I use Indian fabrics but international cuts, pattern and look. As I have both Indian and international clientele so I prefer to design as per situation and demand of client. I always try to showcase my female very strong, powerful, full of life, natural but very stylish. Same patterns apply on my men's collection.

My sources of inspiration:
Inspiration, ideas and thoughts are very much important to create a collection. I get inspired by nature, general lifestyle and royal history of India, which always reflects in my collection.

Style does matter:
Being a designer I do believe that a good fashion and styling sense can turn any individual look smart and dashing. Both style and fashion is important to manipulate the term 'Look'. When styling is done according to the latest trend and perfect fashion skill, it gives birth to a fresh and trendy look.

Celebs on ramp:
Actually it has become a matter of pride and class. Every designer wants to pull more and more media and crowd in his shows and next day it becomes a talk in town. I don't find it wrong anyways as it is a culture and status symbol now. Designer's creativity don't need any celebrity appearance but the truth of current marketing is that none bothers to see your creativity, doesn't matter how beautiful it is but if you want to sale it then flaunt it with the high price tag and a big celeb. Next day you will be a best seller but exceptions are everywhere.

People call me fashion guru:
Usual people and my clientele (both Indian and international) call me Indo-western fashion guru. I like it too because clients are happy and love my outfits. So, I just believe in producing my best and want the next generation to learn, earn and follow 'Brand NC' for a good reason and ideas.

My Favourites:
Colours: Black, maroon, white and traditional floral prints.
Pastime: Party with close friends, dancing and listening music.
Bollywood stars: Salman Khan, Ajay Devgan, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha.
Outfits: All my outfits.
International fashion brands: Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Donatella Versace and Valentino.
Fabrics: Khadi, silk, raw silk, pure cotton, linen, brocade.
Indian fashion designer: Sabyasachi, Narendra Kumar and Manish Malhotra.

Fashion tip: Look stylish, flaunt stylish, walk stylish, talk stylish but always be natural because natural styling is always the best.
