As good as it was supposed to be. After a long wait, Billu did it. Shahrukh again easily placed himself in the lost paradise through the movie. A mixture of comedy & emotion, the movie has successfully mesmerised the family and fun-loving audience in a simple yet appeasing tale of two childhood friends. Billu is a simple ordinary man, who is living in his village with his wife and two great kids. One day, a superstar comes into their lives and then everything changes. Irrfan Khan’s performance is the heart of the movie. After watching his performance, you can’t even think of any other actor in Bollywood as his substitute in that role. Amazingly simple yet engrossing character!
The other rustic characters played by Om Puri, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani are also remarkable. Shahrukh Khan looks striking and fresh than Rab Ne Bana Di…. Director Priyadarshan has splendidly marked his ‘brand’ on every frame of the movie. His mastery over humour and timing is unparalleled. V. Manikandan’s cinematography is full of pictorial and Sabu Cyril is as good as he is in his art. Pritam’s music is foot-tapping but songs interrupt the delight and flow of the plot. Over all, a good, fun-loving family oriented movie. Must go…
