Akshay’s watt lagaoo this movie has confirmed as the leading debacle of new year’s first month. Director Nikhil Advani would have realised the deep impact of a poorly woven plot. He neither cashed in on comedy nor action. Except Akshay, it seems that everyone gobbled up the hefty amount of Warner Brothers. Akshay’s performance is the heart of the movie to keep the audience’s interest alive. The plot revolves around a buffoon vegetable cutter, who yearns for easily success, which leads him to face a ruthless smuggler in China. The smuggler kills his foster father and then he learns marshal art to take revenge. Phheeuuu…another Bollywood masala movie!! Mithun Chakraborty is out-and-out waste in the film. Deepika performance is just okay but not amazing. Ranvir Shorey performed well but his Punjabi accent reflects in his dialogue delivery despite playing the character of a Chinese. The movie rather reminds late Manmohan Desai’s lost and found formula mingled with revenge. There is nothing fresh to entertain the audience except alliance of Chinese actors and shooting in China. Despite renowned musicians, Rapper Bohemia easily stands out with his rap song, sung by Akshay himself. The background score of the movie is loud. Himman Dhamija’s cinematography complies with the story but not pictorial. In a nutshell, enjoy the movie only after leaving your mind at home…
