After her successful horror flick, 1920, directed by ace bollywood director, Vikram Bhatt, suave and gorgeous actress Adah Sharma is once again ready to monopolise the cinema audience with her impeccable acting skills in the upcoming movie, Phhir. The movie is produced by Vikram Bhatt and is directed by Girish Dhamija. Apart from Adah, the other star cast of the movie is Rajniesh Duggall and Roshni Chopra. This time, Adah has again accepted the challenge to perform a character, which was quite dissimilar from her real life personality. Here she reveals more about the movie:
Tell us about your character in the movie?
I am playing the role of an Indian girl Disha, who has been born and brought up in London. She is unique and special. She is very introverted and keeps herself to herself. It is a very exceptional character. All of us have strengths and capabilities but we don't use them because of our focus on the external world. My character's concentration is so powerful that she can even hear a pin drop in a noisy room. To earn her living, she becomes a performer (singer and dancer) and loves to live her life by helping people.
What is the movie all about?
Phhir is based on the law of causation- the karma theory. It explains cause and effect. The movie is for everyone, who sometime in life has asked the question to oneself, 'why me'? We don't know the backlog of our actions from this moment backward, so we have no business to call a situation unfair. The film explains that a superior power is not punishing us. Sometimes challenging situations are presented in front of us to help us to grow. It is just like 'as you sow, so shall you reap'.
How was your working experience with director Girish Dhamija?
Girish Dhamija is one of the most patient persons, whom I've ever met. My role in the movie was very difficult for me to perform. In real life, I am very animated and I use my hands whenever I speak along with facial expression; whereas my role in the movie was of a girl, who is very subtle. Suppressing an emotion is tougher than expressing it. Girishji guided me through the film with the subtle nuances of the character. I have learnt patience through this movie.
Are you choosy about your roles or do you want to keep yourself restraint to a particular image?
As an actor, I believe that I should not have one fixed image. The audience should see me as a changed person with various shades in each & every film, which I do. Therefore, I want to do all sorts of films with an intention to do something that makes me happy at that given point. I have to be excited about the film and would like to go on the set fully charged and enthusiastic. After the shoot, I want to come home exhausted and creatively satisfied completely.
