FDCI announced the launch of its new fashion initiative, Pearls Delhi Couture Week, which will be held from 20 to 25 July 2010 at The Grand. Breaking the barrier of regions and working across geographies, India's leading couturiers will showcase their collections on the ramp and through installations.
Pearls Delhi Couture Week is backed by title sponsor Pearls Group, and partners like the award winning Signature brand from United Spirits and P7. Pearls Delhi Couture Week draws extraordinary talent from the hallmarks of Indian fashion and designers who bring with them creativity and commercial viability.
"With the onset of the 'great Indian wedding' and 'the grand festivals of India', the time is ripe for an event of such a magnitude, as the fashion industry witnesses maximum sales and large scale orders. The participating designers showcasing on the runway include Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla, Anamika Khanna, AZA presents Manish Malhotra, Gaurav Gupta, JJ Valaya, Manav Gangwani, Pallavi Jaikishan, Raakesh Agarvwal, Rina Dhaka, Rohit Bal, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Suneet Varma and Varun Bahl.
The special installations will be designed by Ekru by Ekta & Ruchira, Geisha designs by Paras & Shalini, Jaya Rathore, Monapali, Reynu Taandon and. Satya Paul.
