With the emergence of globalization, the Indian consumer has now become more aware of the options available in the market and which ones are best suited for him. The growing number of malls, supermarkets and retail chains is more proof of this upcoming trend.

These retail chains and supermarkets have not just given the consumer options in terms of clothing, footwear, grooming etc. but also in terms of day-to-day groceries. For example, till about four-five years ago, we would call our neighbourhood grocery store and give him a list of things and they would get delivered at our homes and some items missing in the list would very conveniently be replaced by those of the choice of the grocer.

But now the scenario has changed when the consumer actually reads the product labels, scans the nutritional information, counts the calories and then decides which product to choose over the other. One such product that has received a facelift or has become more popular is Green Tea. Green Tea has been around for a very, very long time but it wasn't until two-three years ago that people became more aware of its existence and benefits.

Green Tea, as we all know is a rich source of effective antioxidants that enhance immunity, fight stress and fatigue, while improving metabolism and also helps in weight management. This is just an overview of Green Tea in a nutshell but its goodness has found favour in one and many.
More and more people are benefitting from Green Tea by way of lowered cholesterol, decreased stress levels, improved immunity, better digestion and even weight loss. Available in different flavours, the benefits of green tea have been clubbed with the goodness of Lemon, Tulsi and Ginger among others.

Green Tea is no more promoted as a weight-loss drink but as a healthier alternative to the regular cup of milky tea Indians are more accustomed to. It is now also being offered by more brands like GAIA because the brands have also realized the growth potential of this miraculous drink with multifarious benefits.

Not just a hot drink any more, Green Tea is now also available in a refreshing Avatar so to say in the form of Green Ice Tea in many flavours such as Lemon, Peach, Mint, Green Apple etc. This new form of Green Tea has become the healthier way to beat the heat while not worrying so much about the calories that come from sodas, packaged juices and smoothies.

Conclusively, since all of us lead stressful lives and want to take better care of ourselves and our families, replacing our regular cup of tea with the healthier Green Tea or Green Ice Tea will definitely be a small step but will make a huge difference in helping us feel younger and live longer.
